Let it flow...

So my intention of completing 30 days of yoga with Adrienne for her new month long programme, Breathe, for 2021 has come to an end. And thanks to a minor hiccup from an adverse mix of meds and vaccine, I missed a couple of days although I made up for this by tacking on one of the more restful sessions to another.  I’m going to keep up with the daily ritual .... hardest part is showing up and all that; it takes 30 days to make something a habit....

Having cracked my yoga flow, I have been struggling with my crochet flow and seemed to have lost my mojo... I think I have too many ideas and projects in mind and just not enough spare time to get stuck in.  I’ve been one of the lucky ones and able to work throughout the lockdowns these strange times have seen.  After a few days of not having a project, large or small, on the go, I was missing the steady incremental therapy that crochet lends itself to.  A quick(ish) trawl my stash, I found a couple of overlooked yarns cakes......what could possibly be more relaxing?

Amazing how therapeutic it is to hook some simple stitches, mind wandering from thought to thought or watching a film and watching the mesmerising way one colour flows into the next...

No pattern, no pressure, just simple stitches and shapes, let the yarn do the work.  And the best part? Knowing that I will be gifting them to a local service that works with young mums, benefitting myself with some calming therapy and others too......

Next, to use this ball of gorgeousness that arrived in the post- a little treat to show me some self-love from West Yorkshire Spinners. I have fallen for this colour combo ‘Pheasant’- such an apt name.  Perfect for the sock pattern I have in mind......

Let the stitches flow..... 🧘🧶
